Living - Dining - Kitchen

Brief

The brief for this style was Provincial / Hampton’s with a pop of pink. The client wanted more space and a defined living and dining area in which they could relax. They adore classic, timeless, elegant and feminine pieces as this ambience exudes from this client as a person too. To incorporate the element of pink, I added this through the smaller pieces such as flowers, throw rug and coffee table tray.

Key pieces

Pearson Armchair
Two of these pearson armchairs were purchased and sit opposite the main lounge. The armchairs were purchased specifically as they both fit the style criteria of Hampton’s, but also for their design. The low back was chosen so anyone sitting on the opposite couch could still see over the top of them and admire the beautiful view of the lake. Also, to ensure all light from the sliding doors filtered to the room without being blocked. High back chairs would have been too big for this space.

Lounge
The grey Noosa Hamspton’s style sofa with white piping and low back fits perfectly in this living room. As the ceilings aren’t too high, the low back allows for the size of the couch to compliment this space beautifully, without looking too big.

Coffee Table
As the seating on either side of this table are different hues, a crisp white coffee table makes all surrounding neutral colours pop, while adding a wow feature in itself. It provides enough room to grow with the client by offering an abundance of room for the client to display their favourite treasures on the table.

Rug
To help define the dining area and protect the floor, a beautiful, hard wearing rug was placed under the round wooden provincial style table.

French Provincial Dining Chairs
These grey dining chairs were chosen specifically as they didn’t have arms, and therefore sit neatly under the table. The chairs are also unique as they curve and widen slightly at the bottom of the backs, also allowing a comfortable fit around a circle table.

Lamp
The wonderful thing about these clear glass base lamps are that they can be a statement piece on their own, or have absolutely anything put inside them to create a masterpiece. This one had quality fake rinunculas added, along with fairy lights, to create a soft, feminine, yet unique feature. I think it’s my favourite piece in this room!
